Welcome! Your first long-awaited encounter with Lake Baikal is just about to begin!
In the morning, our guide will meet you, and you will set off to the “heart of Baikal” — Olkhon Island! This is a place that attracts people from all over the world and one that leaves no one unchanged.
Along the way, you will get to know your guide and the other travelers who will soon become your Baikal family.
You will enjoy a tasting lunch featuring traditional Buryat cuisine. You will try the famous buuzas and other local specialties.
Then we will head out to witness our first BAIKAL SUNSET!

At the end of the day, we will check into a cozy and comfortable hotel and get ready for a new day of adventures!

After a delicious breakfast, an exciting journey through the northern part of the island awaits you in Russian-made UAZ “Bukhanka” off-road vehicles.
We will travel to the northernmost point of the island — Cape Khoboy, where an incredible view of the Big Sea, the widest and deepest part of Lake Baikal, opens up before you.
Along the way, we will stop at some of the most picturesque locations to admire all the wonders of winter Baikal: blue ice hummocks, 50 shades of ice, grottoes, ice splashes, frozen caves, and ice stalactites.
We will visit the top locations and sacred places of northern Olkhon:
Cape Kharauntsy, Peschanoye Tract, Cape Sagan-Khushun, and Cape Khoboy.
And now it's time to go skating on the largest natural ice rink in the world!
While you skate across the vast surface of Baikal's crystal-clear ice, a delicious lunch will be prepared for you right in the middle of nature.

Khivus — a hovercraft and one of the most iconic ways to travel across Lake Baikal. Today, an exciting journey on this unique mode of transport awaits you!
And now it's time to discover what true Baikal drift and adrenaline feel like — we'll ride buggies right across the ice!
Our journey continues towards Listvyanka. Along the way, we will make stops in the southern part of Olkhon Island, visiting Ogoy Island and Cape Dragon.
We will then continue through the Olkhon Gate and stop at some of the most spectacular locations along the way:
Aya Bay, Peschanaya Bay, Bolshoye Goloustnoye, and Buguldeyka.
This day will definitely stay in your memory because you'll experience the “Kiss of Baikal” — a special cocktail that can only be enjoyed on Lake Baikal and only in winter!
Traveling by Khivus hovercraft, you will cover a distance equal to almost half the length of the lake!

Visiting the museum is also the only opportunity to see Baikal seals (nerpas) in winter.
We will stop at the source of the Angara River. The Angara is known as the only daughter of Lake Baikal, as it is the only river that flows out of the lake.
Our guide will tell you the main legend of these lands and show you the Shaman Stone, a sacred place for the indigenous peoples of the Baikal region.
After lunch, we will take a chairlift to the observation deck at Chersky Stone, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Baikal from above!
Near the observation deck, there is another special place — the White Stone, also known as the “Rock That Makes You Tremble.”
We will also visit a colorful local fish market, where you can taste Baikal fish prepared in many different ways:
omul, grayling, whitefish, golomyanka, and more!
